Hi, I’m Cait ♡

I’m Caitlyn — but most people call me Cait. I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Southwest Virginia, and I’ve spent the last several years documenting the moments people never want to forget.

My love for photography started when I was 13 years old, the day I got my very first camera. What began as a hobby quickly became the way I learned to see the world — finding beauty in the little moments, the quiet in-betweens, and the stories that unfold naturally.

I’ve always been drawn to things that feel nostalgic. Old film cameras, vintage treasures, handwritten notes, and photographs that carry a story behind them have always had my heart. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me with a coffee nearby, a book in hand, planning our next camping adventure, or searching for the next antique shop to wander through.

But more than anything, I’m a storyteller.

I don’t want your photos to just show what a moment looked like — I want them to bring you back to how it felt. The way your partner looked at you when no one else was watching, the laughter of your kids, the anticipation of welcoming a new baby, or the beauty of a season that passed too quickly.

My approach is relaxed and intentional. I’ll guide you when you need it, but I’ll also give you space to simply be yourselves — because the most meaningful moments usually happen when you forget the camera is even there.

Outside of photography, you’ll find me adventuring with my husband, Troy, our little one, and our two cats, Jack and Diane. We love camping, traveling, watching too many movies in one weekend, and dreaming about one day living near the ocean.
